CV Michael Hensel

Michael Hensel studied Biology at the University of Osnabrück and graduated with a PhD in Microbiology in 1993. He did his postdoctorate at the Hammersmith Hospital in London and returned to Germany in 1996 to work as a group leader at the Max von Pettenkofer-Institute in Munic. In 2000, he habilitated in Microbiology and accepted a professorship position in Microbiology at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. In 2009, he took over the chair of Microbiology at the University of Osnabrück.
